One of my monthly food posts :)
Yummy Thai food at Ee San, Upper Thomson Road. Love the pad thai, makes for a perfect lunch. The Thai coffee is a tad too sweet though.

Itacho Sushi ftw. Love them!! just that they are more expensive than other franchised sushi joints in Singapore such as Sushi Tei or Sakae Sushi. Cost about $25 per pax, still affordable. craving for it right nw!

Freshness burger! Some say it is overrated, some are addicted to it. I have only had it twice. Tried the Freshness burger the first time – wasnt impressed a bit. In fact, I was quite disappointed with it. The second time, I went for the spam burger instead as recommended by my friends.
Boy, it is good!! Spam, egg, tomato, veg, a dollop of mayo, in between two lightly toasted Freshness buns. My sister insists that she can make this at home and that it is not worth the $3.80 price tag. Well, i do agree with her because spam really adds taste to a dish, and it is not difficult to recreate this burger. But of course, if you are too busy (or lazy) to cook, then u can buy this at Freshness. Go try it!

Smoked duck skinny pizza at Timbre.
Everyone has been bugging me to try this pizza at Timbre, and I really like it. It is very crispy and flavourful, mainly because of the sweet sauce. The crispy crackers on the pizza also add texture to the pizza. Definitely worth a try! However, I must say that it is not very filling if you are sharing it with two other people.

Ramen at Ippudo Tao at Mohammed Sultan Road. It is really good! And if I am not wrong, the place closes at 12mn, so you can head over if you finish work late, or have a late night craving. gosh, i feel like having it now!

Brunch at Jones The Grocer, Dempsey Road
I prefer the one at Dempsey over Mandarin Gallery’s. However, it is always packed! I wouldnt have mind sitting outside except that it was really scorching hot during noon, and I was rather pissed off at not being able to get seats indoor. Other than that, I would personally recommend the one at Dempsey. Nice ambience away from the hustle and bustle of town :)

Forty Hands
I came across this cafe while doing a story for our papers on indie places in Singapore. A colleague recommended it in the story, and it looks like a cosy place to chill at, so I decided to check it out. The only con is that it is no longer an indie hangout cafe after the story is published. Everytime I go there, it is packed to the brim and there are no seats! *sad* went there for brunch recently and didn’t even manage to get ANY seats.
Other than that, I really like the place. You should check it out if you are ever in the Tiong Bahru neighbourhood.

Brunch near Nanson Road
I had brunch at this cafe near Nanson Road but for some weird reason, I CANNOT remember the name of this cafe. It was very packed on a Sunday morning, and I even bumped into my friends there!
I like the simple back-to-basics retro decor of the place, but I must say that I wasn’t very satisfied with the food. The eggs benedict came with a stingy portion of side, with a really miserable-looking slice of watermelon. and the eggs benedict were not fantastic either. I wouldn’t go back again but hey! the decor is worth a B+ at least.
Ice water served in a Vodka bottle.

I feel hungry nowwwwwww.
